Torrey Pines Landscape Company's pick for a Class in February

An Introduction to Ikebana Arrangements of the Ichiyo School of Ikebana.

Instructor Deborah Warriner will present an overview of the history of Japanese flower arranging, the differences between Western flower arranging and ikebana, and introduction to two basic styles of moribana (low container) arrangements. Students will create several variations of both “upright” and “slanting” style ikebana arrangements. Each student should bring floral scissors, a plastic table covering, a notebook, and camera to help them record their creations.
