"Slow Flowers" presentation by author Debra Prinzing
  Where: Room 101 Casa del Prado, Balboa Park
  When: Wednesday April 17th, 2:00pm
   What is it: Let this renowned floral designer and contributing editor for Better Homes & Gardens inspire you to create beautiful bouquets that use each season's unique botanical offerings. Read her blog for tips on creating 'green design' in your arrangements.

Decoupage Pot Class
  Where:Room 104 Casa del Prado, Balboa Park 

  When: Thursday April 18th 12-2:30pm
  What is it: Students will be guided, by the floral artist David Root, through the process of antiquing a terracotta pot to make it look as if it were hand painted. Call the San Diego Floral Association at 619-232-5762


Lady Bug Day
 Where: San Diego Botanic Garden
230 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas

  When: Saturday April 20th  10-12:30
   What is it: The  “Lost Ladybug Project” sponsored by Cornell University. We will be searching the garden for ladybugs and reporting our information back to Cornell University. There will be crafts, costume parades, worm composting demonstrations and a ladybug release. More Info


 Earth Fair:
 Where: Balboa Park
 When: Sunday April 21rst, 2013 from 10-5
 What is it: The largest free annual environmental fair in the world.
