Learn how to create Herbal-scented Holiday Wreaths

Date:  November 15, 2012
Time:  9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Cost:  $20 ($15 for SDFA members)

Create a beautiful scented wreath for hanging or as a center piece. Bring gloves, clippers and a shopping bag filled with 6 to 8-inch cuttings from your garden to share. Wreath backing, fasteners and hangers will be provided.
Cuttings should be from strong, straight-stemmed, long-lasting, small leaved plants such as lavender, rosemary, myrtle, nandina, lime- or lemon-scented geranium, eucalyptus, pyracantha, cotoneaster, holly, pine, fir and sage. Other plants will work if they have stiff stems. Cuttings will go into a community pile so that everyone will have a wreath with a variety of fragrances and textures.
